Do I need UKARA to buy BBs? Is it illegal to buy a BB gun?

Firstly, anyone can buy BBs. There is no restriction on this. We do not sell imitation firearms (realistic or otherwise) but most retailers require proof of a "legal defence" before you can purchase a BB gun from them.
